I love the Consumerist website. I love how it exposes the dirty corporation practices out there. It’s like Jerry Springer, only with companies instead of inbred trailer trash.
I was just reading a story about a woman who allegedly got a rotten apple from the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. She tried unsuccessfully to get them to resolve the problem over the phone, so she took matters into her own hands and went to the store to complain in person.
But those fucktards called security on her, rather than just replace her $5 apple. You’ve got to be kidding. For $5 and an apology from the store these jerks could have resolved the issue. Now the story is an internet sensation.
Of course, I have to wonder. What part of the story are we not hearing? I mean, who the hell pays $5 for an apple? Did it have caramel or chocolate on it? Does it have an iPod dock in it somewhere? Did she show up at the store with a hatchet like Lizzie Borden? Maybe she was wearing a hockey mask and carrying a machete. We may never know.
